Build Trust
Before the Need

A global pandemic has shown us
we must create a new model
of science communication.

We challenge every lab to dedicate 10% of their time and resources to integrating and participating in the communities around them,
from field to doorstep.
Rainforest Consortium
In its various venues and channels, Neotropicalscience Media represents the continuous dedication to developing accessible communication of project opportunities, goals and knowledge from within our laboratory. Direct-action science communication means we can show what is important: hidden curriculum, untold stories, and an honest representation of field biology.

Collaboration: Forest Fear Lab at
CSU Long Beach

Its our mission to reimagine collaboration and support between institutions, students, and everyone who helps us reach
our research goals.

The National Science Foundation, CSULBs Forest Fear Lab and UCLA have provided funding for field experience, travel, graduate-level education and work expenses to researchers and field specialists in both California and Peru.

Young Prophets of Biology

The Young Prophets Project is a radical reimagination of science communication that aims to communicate research as a fearlessly personality-forward narrative.
Showcasing student research and involvement
through familiar and relatable media

Conversations with students
in a global classroom

Peruvian teacher Alvaro Tamayo and biologist Eliseo Parra team up to bring scientific discussion to classrooms across Lima, Peru. Students ask questions in the classroom and receive their answers straight from the lab in California.
